Richard Hyde, Executive Director, ONE Future

Richard serves as the Executive Director of One Future. He has primary responsibility for day-to-day operations, expanding membership, meeting with legislators and industry regulators, and promoting the organization at industry events.
Richard has been in the natural gas industry for over 30 years, working in Government Affairs for Panhandle Eastern and Trunkline Gas, Duke Energy, AGL Resources and Southern Company Gas. Richard has worked the state legislative arena, as well as in Washington D.C. with Duke Energy as their primary pipeline representative.
Richard Has led the legislative and community outreach effort on projects to site pipelines, electric generating facilities and underground storage facilities. At the federal level, Richard worked with industry groups to help pass the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and Pipeline Safety Act reauthorizations.
Richard volunteers at Good Samaritan of Rockport, an organization helping Aransas County residents. He has volunteered at Fort Bend Hope, an organization that provides assistance to families through tutoring, ESL, and learning job skills.
Richard graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Accounting. He is a native Texan; he and his wife live in Rockport, Texas. Richard enjoys fishing in the bays around Rockport and cycling; he completed the MS150 in 2019.
