Antero Resources
Antero finds value and reward in volunteerism and giving back to the community. We believe that volunteerism creates a connection and sense of belonging to those communities in our operating footprint. Each year Antero employees volunteer hundreds of hours to community projects and worthy causes.
Each spring, our employees lead a volunteer week initiative. In 2019, we chose to rehabilitate Reader Park in the heart of our operations in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Over a three-day period, 55 paid employees contributed 500 hours to pressure washing, restoring playground equipment and fencing, collecting trash, painting, and planting flowers.
The Antero Foundation was formed to cultivate Antero’s rich history of charitable giving. It will focus on expanding community involvement and cultivating new charitable partnerships while ensuring future giving aligns with Antero’s core values of protecting our people, communities, and the environment. The Antero Foundation targets $500,000 of annual giving in communities located in West Virginia and Ohio.
Antero is proud to celebrate local volunteers across the state of WV through the Jefferson Awards program. We partnered with local TV station, WDTV, to locate volunteers through community nominations, highlight their story to the public, and present them with a medallion to honor their service and commitment to the communities where we live and work.
Other valuable organizations our employees have donated their energy and resources to include: Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which builds beds for local foster children, Building Hope, an organization that fights bullying in the school system, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and more.
