Dominion Energy
More than three decades ago, Dominion Energy instituted a formal volunteer program to encourage its employees to give back to the community on a regular basis. Since that time, employees have engaged in hundreds of company-sponsored projects with community partners: from environmental initiatives like tree planting to educational programs like reading programs to community improvements like repairing school facilities and building access ramps.
Dominion Energy also offers staff members eight hours of paid time off a year to participate in an individual volunteer activity of their choosing, such as with local food banks, tutoring and mentoring programs, and local park clean up. In 2019, Dominion Energy employees exceeded 130,000 hours of volunteer time.
