EPA Unveils Partnership With ONE Future In Draft “Methane Challenge” Proposal

EPA unveiled its proposed voluntary framework designed to encourage oil and natural gas producers to commit to methane-reduction and reporting targets. EPA’s “Methane Challenge” program will work with ONE Future members and other companies throughout the natural gas supply chain to encourage the adoption of technologies and work practices that reduce methane emissions. EPA would recognize ONE Future participants’ emission reduction commitments and provide a reporting platform for transparently tracking company progress against their commitments.
