ONE FUTURE WELCOMES WILLIAMS

-NATURAL GAS COALITION MEMBERSHIP REACHES 17-

Houston, TX – June 11, 2019 – Our Nation’s Energy Future (ONE Future) announced today that Williams (NYSE: WMB) has joined the coalition, bringing the total number of member companies to 17.

Williams is an energy infrastructure company focused on connecting North America’s significant hydrocarbon resource supplies to growing markets for natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs). Their interstate gas pipelines and gathering and processing operations span the United States, including strategic assets in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, the Rockies, the Pacific Northwest and the Eastern Seaboard.

“Williams is proud to partner with ONE Future and the other member companies in demonstrating our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility,” said Alan Armstrong, Williams’ president and chief executive officer. “As an industry leader that handles approximately 30% of the nation’s natural gas, Williams supports effective, voluntary programs to reduce emissions.”

ONE Future member companies represent the entire natural gas value chain and account for approximately 10% of the total natural gas production, 40% of the US natural gas transmission miles and 9% of the US natural gas distribution. ONE Future companies work with each other to promote best practices and share learnings on each company’s respective science-based, technology and methods for methane reduction; though each member always has the flexibility to deploy its capital where it will be most effective.

As a ONE Future member, Williams will report its 2018 methane results as part of the gathering and boosting, processing, and transmission and storage sectors within the coalition and will hold a seat on ONE Future’s Board of Directors.

“Williams is a strong addition to our coalition,” said Richard Hyde, Executive Director, ONE Future. “Their proven dedication to environmental stewardship should provide good thought leadership for the organizations growth as we work to identify new methods for reducing methane emissions.”
